One of my favourite places to go in the summer! This campground must be one of the most beautiful and tranquil campgrounds in the Maritimes.

It's a nice campground, the lake is beautiful. Sites are decent size, clean. It's a very relaxing place as long as you don't mind the sounds of boats on the lake. I don't, so I enjoy it there. Staff is very friendly.

Rented the cottage this year since we have a 3 month old; as well as our 3 year old. Very private with the road ending at the cottage. The cottage is an older building that could use a bit of an overhaul but it's perfect for what it is. It's up a hill overlooking the lake; however, the view is semi obstructed from the trees. There are stairs that lead to the private floating dock. I brought my kayak and our kids, friends and family suntanned/swam from it. Such a great addition to the rental. The cottage has almost everything you need. Linens, soap/shampoo, lots of pots/pans/utensils/dishes, toaster, microwave, and most importantly KEURIG! The living room is very large with 2 couches, love seat and couple chairs. The living room could easily hold 2-3 large air mattresses if need be. I'm not 100% on the bed sizes, but I think the master bedroom has a queen size bed and the 2nd bedroom has a double.

The downside is other than the beach, some paddle boats and kayaks, there isn't a lot for kids. The playground is very very old. My other gripe is with the booking. We've booked, shown up and they have no record of us booking, we've had won't dates booked. So call and confirm your dates!

Nice small campground on a beautiful lake. There are a few little pebble beaches along the lake. There is a floating dock and canoe/kayak/paddle boat rentals. 1 hour free for each night and $3/hr after that. There is a small park for toddlers (swings and a small slide). I only have 2 complaints about this campground 1) the gate closes at 9pm with no obvious way to get in or out in an emergency situation. My brother in law went to the grocery store before 9 and returned just after 9. He was lucky enough to find an employee walking in the parking lot and asked her to open the gate. She said she couldn't and told him to come back in the morning! When he explained that his children are sleeping in the campground, she told him he can walk up to the owners house to ask permission; which he did. The owner obviously allowed him back in, but putting a 9pm limit on the gate is absolutely ridiculous.

I only have 2 complaints. 1) The mattresses. The double (where my toddler slept) is rock solid and springy. Not even remotely comfortable. The queen was a bit softer but old and saggy. Message to the owners: this cottage would have it all if you'd replace the mattresses. Why not spend a few hundred and give your guests a great sleep? When people spend hundreds to thousands of dollars to go on vacation, they go to 'relax' and want to be comfortable. Who wants to pay so much money to travel far from home to sleep on a horrible mattress?! Lol. It's just disappointing.

    2) The price of the firewood! $10 for 30 mins-1 hour of burning (roughly) is unacceptable. To compare, on PEI you can buy one of those large wood bags for about $5. What is offered here for $10 is about 1/4 of that. Not everyone can afford to rent a cottage or tent site then spend $40/day just to give their kids a decent campfire experience.

    2) I have never had anyone answer the phone (same with my brother in law). I've called numerous times between reserving a site, questions after the fact, etc.. No one ever answers! I had to leave voicemails and wait around for them to call back. I find that very unacceptable for any business.
